PayPal is a very safe way of exchanging money and will enhance your business. If you are getting into affiliate marketing, there are lots of companies that pay through PayPal or at least give you the option to be paid through PayPal. I’ve had PayPal for quite a while and I can easily get funds to my kids if they are away. So, even with no business, PayPal can be used more than you think. And, of course there are hundreds of businesses that now accept PayPal as payment, especially online. But, for business, it’s almost necessary.
All you really need to set up an account is an email address and a credit card. Your PayPal account is actually your email address so it’s very simple. Simply go to PayPal.com to begin. Click on the “Sign Up For Free” button. The next page, you choose your account, either Personal account or Business account. For my business, I actually use the Personal Account and I find it plenty adequate for what I need. You may prefer Business which has a few more benefits. With Business you can accept credit cards and PayPal on your website. You can swipe cards in your store or mobile. And you can create and email invoices. So, depending on what type of business you have, will determine which works best for you. Both are free, although, business does have one other level for $30 a month.
So, click on the account of your choice and the next page will present you with a short form to fill out, then click the “Agree and Create Account” tab at the bottom. They will send you an email with a link that you’ll need to click on so they can confirm your email address.
Next you will fill out your credit card information that they will store and safeguard your card details. This is used if you pay with PayPal and short of funds in your PayPal account, then it will default to the card of your choice so your transaction will complete.
