Would certainly love additional videos if you wanted to post one. We put them on the website, but also use them internally since they so clearly show how varied all of our client’s businesses truly are. Makes those interactions more real since so much of our client interaction is done via email, phone and live chat it’s nice to put a face with personality along with getting to see the inside of businesses where clients use AWeber.

Ok, now I love you more! (and I blogged that)
Thanks so much for the site mention in the video and the link, much appreciated. Oh yea, and thanks for the t-shirt. I’ve posted a pic of me wearing that on my site too.

Darn it, this is what I get for not staying updated on your blog. I really would’ve loved to create a video testimonial for you guys, but you probably already know what I’d say… ?.    Anywho, keep up the awesome work guys!

I miss this one, I just started using Aweber and I love it already. It’s only about 3 months now I guess and I have 11 confirm subscribers now. Not much but I am happy with it and I hope to learn more here to get more subscribers to my list.

Who Is AWeber For?

Anyone wanting to build an email list and email marketing campaign or just simply send a “Hello” to their subscribers can use this product.  If you’re wanting to build HTML-rich product promotions and email newsletters, implement autoresponders and track your subscribers, then this is for you.

Aweber Tools and Training                   tools

The Aweber marketing tools are pretty impressive.  They have a selection of video ads that can be imbedded into your website or links that can be used on social media or emails.  Along with this are pages of banners and badges that are available for use.  Throw in their large selection of Test Drive Ads and you couldnt ask for more in the tools department.  The training is complete enough with the usual Knowledge Base answering scores of questions, but their video training library is extensive. Also available are their live webinars with real-time instruction and a question and answer period at the end.  As you progress in your abilities, you can choose more advanced training.   I was able to find training in all areas that I searched.

Aweber Support

The support at Aweber is very Johnny-on-the-spot.  They have the Knowledge Base area which is pretty much the Q &A type which sufficiently answers most questions.  But, the thing I like is their live chat support.  I have had instant answers and walk throughs in this area and love it.  One of the most effiecient live chats I have come across.  They do not have a community or forum and of course you never see the owners on here, but this is not expected with this type of platform.  I would definitely give the support here an A+.

AWeber Pricing

To start with, you get a 30 day no obligation Free Trial.  You should be able to try out all aspects enough in this time period to be able to make a decision.  They have a number of pay levels.

  • $19 a month – Up to 500 subscribers
  • $29 a month –  Up to 2,500 subscribers
  • $49 a month –  Up to 5,000 subscribers
  • $69 a month –  Up to 10,000 subscribers
  • $149 a month – Up to 25,000 subscribers
  • Contact AWeber Communications – 25,000+ subscribers
They also have annual subscriptions available if you like getting that all out of your way up front.
  • $193.80 a year – Up to 500 subscribers
  • $295.80 a year –  Up to 2,500 subscribers
  • $499.80 a year –  Up to 5,000 subscribers
  • $703.80 a year –  Up to 10,000 subscribers
  • $1,519.80 a year –  Up to 25,000 subscribers
  • Contact AWeber Communications – 25,000+ subscribers

The only upsell that I have come across is an eBook upsell upon signing up which to me is no big deal but to some it may be.

My Final Opinion of AWeber

I feel like AWeber has every aspect of email marketing covered, with wonderful video tutorials and excellent live chat support.  The pricing is very reasonable with what all they have to offer, with the exception of no free level like some of the other platforms out there. However, you do get what you pay for and the trade-off of what you lose to get the free level is well NOT worth it.  With everything from email marketing, tracking, HTML email templates, email newsletters, RSS to email, drag-and-drop editor, to autoresponder follow-up, subscriber segmenting, the Atom and AWeber Stats App, there is just not much more that one would need.  I would have to say they are my number one pick for an email marketing service.

  1. Thank you for the information, Grant. I was thinking about Aweber but was worried about how hard it might be to set up. The price seems reasonable too so that is a plus as well.

    1. Thanks Merry! Not hard to set up whatsoever, and their support is excellent. I’ve looked at other email marketing services and although there are some that are slightly cheaper, it’s not worth the difference of price for the quality. Give it a try. You can for free for 30 days.

  2. Hi Grant. Thanks for turning my attention to such a strong service. It’s interesting to me that Aweber charges by the amount of subscribers. I’m assuming your website can have many more subscribers than the plan you choose. Does that make sense and do you know if this is correct?

I was also wondering if Aweber offers any social media marketing services? It didn’t seem like it cause it wasn’t mentioned at all (or did I miss it?). Anyways, just thought I’d ask.

Thanks again for your time and the helpful information. Geoff.

    1. Yes, Geoff. The better email marketing services usually charge by subscribers amount. GetResponse also does, but I believe their subscriber numbers are a bit lower. And as far as if you have more subscribers than their highest plan, they’ll custom make a plan to fit what you need. You can have more subscribers than the plan you choose, but the plan will only allow whatever the number plan you chose. As far as the social media, you can connect other platforms with AWeber such as FAcebook, WordPress, LeadPages, etc, which makes it easier to follow up after someone gives you their email address. Thanks for stopping by and I hope this helps!

  3. Many thanks for the Aweber review, all you need to know is covered here.
I use Get response but I think Aweber or Get response are the best email auto responders out there

Lots of people look for free auto responders but there really not worth it.
There is always a cost to free stuff, better to pay a small amount for a professional service

  4. Personally I love Aweber and is my first choice when it comes to autoresponders. I do also like Getresponse, which came in at a close 2nd place for me. If I ever get tired of Aweber I would choose Getresponse for sure.

Thanks for confirming my own preferences as “correct” lol
